The Leadership Development Center offers practical skills and experiences to put UCSB students' world-class education into action in order to effect positive change locally, nationally and globally.
Mission Statement
The Leadership Development Center is committed to teaching leaders how to organize efficient and effective action toward a goal. It also assists leaders to identify their short- and long-term leadership objectives with the philosophy that a leader will also be most effective when she/he is cognizant of and committed to her/his unique set of values and interests.

Yes, you are! All UCSB students are leaders by nature. Students at the University of California are expected to be among the most influential and effective leaders of the 21st century, which is precisely why California taxpayers fund a portion of every UC student's education.
